With interests in seemingly mismatched fields, I am a multi-disciplinary learner committed to fostering innovation, whether that be by crafting engineering solutions in the aerospace industry or by challenging narratives within the realm of the literary through storytelling. I have plans of entering the aerospace industry with a special interest in space systems, mechanical design, thermal fluid systems and propulsion. For me, innovation takes on many forms. I have a passion for effective communication and research, exemplified by my pursuit of degrees in Mechanical/Aero Engineering and French. Having academic backgrounds in these distinct disciplines aptly positions me to bridge my passion for engineering innovation with a commitment to impactful communication.
My differing passions reinforce each other by their peculiar combination. As my academic career progresses, my ever-growing portfolio of argumentative compositions and literary analyses in French equip me well to approach engineering research topics, affording me a firm basis on which I've developed my technical writing skills. Similarly, the problem-solving skills acquired through the semesters of mechanics courses give me a competitive advantage in honing my storytelling and shaping my plotlines.
The universe is filled with just as many (if not, more) unasked questions as unanswered ones. Through my drive for research and my dedication to communication, I hope to aid our understanding in our ever-evolving world, striving to illuminate the unexplored and the unvoiced.
When I'm not engineering or Frenching, I enjoy all things outdoors: hiking, camping, running, hammocking. I enjoy journalling and some creative writing. I've also been learning to play banjo for almost a year now, which is a fun party trick. I have many an interest, and it gets overwhelming at times, but I do my best. Finally, of course, I also love to spend time with my friends, whether that be hanging out, studying, or going on adventures. I am always on the lookout to make new connections, to learn new skills, and to have new experiences. Thanks for reading!
